Update on Donna Mood
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 | A General Update story

     Hello everyone,

Donna has been doing pretty well lately. She has not been speaking any more words but is still very alert. Speech Therapy evaluated her and said she has not improved from the last time they checked. So they cannot work with her. No therapy is being done at this point. Donna needs to really make improvement for any therapy to resume. We just need to keep praying for her and visiting her. When you take time with her, give her encouragement. Let her know that she is doing a great job and how proud we are of her.

It has been nineteen months since her accident. My heart just breaks every day. Sometimes I feel as if the road is just too hard. I just want to cry myself to sleep. I wish I could explain how hard this is. I try to give you a glimpse of what it feels like. It is hard and painful. Some of my kids just act as if the problems are not there. Donna is going through a lot and she needs all of her kids there at her side. Just because you sweep a problem under a rug, that doesn't mean that the problem has disappeared. You need to face it. It is still there. You are hurting yourself and your family. Maybe you are going through a similar problem in your family. I want to encourage you to pray and to put whatever differences aside. Come together. Don’t let the enemy have any ground at all.

All I am trying to say is Donna needs her family at her side. Try to think of a time that you might have been in the hospital. When nobody came to see you. What were you thinking? How did you feel? Donna goes through this every day. Please don't take anything I am saying the wrong way. These are things we face daily. I am sharing with you, so you can pray for these areas. There is power in prayer.

I try to keep everything together. Things are tuff.  I am not focused on my pain, but it is there. Put yourself in my shoes for a day. This next time you see me, just know that I am hurting inside. I am being truthful with you. I wish I could say that I am some mighty Christian that is going through this trial running in first place. I feel that I am constantly running to catch up to the pack. It is a hard and long race.

Donna needs our prayers. Donna needs us to be with her, and encourage her when we can. Let’s bring her in front of Jesus. Pray daily for her. Pray also for me and the kids. Pray that I am raising my kids the way the bible tells us. Pray healing over my family. Pray that we honor Christ in all that we do. I thank you for being in this with us. I thank you for every prayer said. You are a blessing to us. I thank everyone that has brought us meals. That has been such a blessing. Thank you for those that has come and cleaned or done yard work or just sat and prayed with us.

I can never repay all of the kindness and love that you have showed our family. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are a blessing. You are doing what Jesus asks us to do. As John Wimber would say, you are doing the stuff. God bless you and thank you one again.

In his grip,

Bill

Worship with Donna Mood
Friday, October 30, 2009 | A General Update story

    Hello friends,

I wanted to give you an update on Donna. Tuesday evening we had a night of worship and prayer with Donna. This was a very powerful time. The Lord was definitely there with us. It was nice to have a different mix of people there. There were a lot of new faces with us. This brought refreshment to our time with Donna. At one point when Larry, our worship leader, started singing a song and Donna just became excited. She had a big smile on her face that just seemed to grow as we sang.

I felt the Lord was doing something with Donna on that evening. She was so alert. We gathered around her a layed our hands upon her. As we prayed you could feel God's presence in the room. The time we spent with Donna was great refreshment. It you have not done this with us before I extend my hand of welcome to you. Please come and join us next time. We meet the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.

Donna had a good week last week. She was able to say several words each time I asked her. My prayer is for more words to come. Please prayer for Donna, pray for more healing to come. Also keep in prayer my brother in law Rick. He was rushed to the hospital the other day with chest pains. He had emergency surgery, he had two blocked arteries. One of his arteries was blocked 100 percent. The other was blocked 90 percent. He is now in the ICU doing much better they said by coming in as fast as they did they saved him from having a heart attack .His heart was not damaged but he will have to be on heart medicine because he has coronary artery disease. He needs to quit smoking if he doesn't next time he may not be so lucky.

Please pray for Rick and his wife Kim (Donnas’ sister). We thank you for all of your prayers that have been said. This is a battle and we are glad that friends like you are fighting with us.
 Ecclesiastes 4:10-12
10 If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Keep praying do not slow down God is listening to us. Thank you so much for your time and your faithfulness in praying for Donna.

God bless and press in,

Bill
