I'm a 17 year old recovering UC patient, i recently had a 2 step total colectomy surgery and RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE! It's amazing not to have chronic pain anymore. I put off surgery for over a year but...it was the worst choice i've ever made, i now realize i should have chosen it from the beginning. I have non responsive fulminate ulcerative colitis and after my surgery recovery was IMMEDIATE...i'm not saying it wasn't difficult and painful...but it was quick and i now don't have to worry about if i'll even be around tomorrow. Feel free to ask me whatever you want, i would love to recommend doctors or answer any questions you might have, i'm even willing to share photos of my ostomy and the small scars left after the take down.

Good luck on your fund raising! I will definitely try to come up with some creative ideas for you. I am so glad to read you are feeling better from surgery! I was diagnosed 2 years ago and was in remission from my Crohn's for the next two years. In August I went into a flare and have been ever since....and it seems that everything that can go wrong with this disease, has gone wrong. Have a great night and hope to talk to you soon!!
