Another Day, Another Pound Mood
Saturday, July 26, 2008 | An Inspiring story

I went bike ridng again today and this time, we took the whole family.  My Husband, myself and the children all went to the track and went riding.  Well Baby Girl rode her push car.  You know those little cars that you have to use your feet to push like the Flinstones?  Yeah, those.  She was scooting her little butt around that track trying to keep up with her sister- it was the cutest thing ever.  Then after a while, I just picked her up, put her on the bar in the middle of my bike and rode her around.  She couldn't get enough.  Then I took her up this ramp and came flying down sooo fast!  Why did I start that?  She had me up and down that darn ramp so many times.  It was fun though.  We all had a good time except for my son who would have rather been in the house playing video games.  Sorry if I'm not making any sense, but it's 3:30 a.m. here, and I am tired. I'm about to go to sleep, but I had to update.

So I ate well.  I had steamed fish and veggies.  The same recipe that I put on my previous journal.  I have to go to sleep, but I just had to tell you guys about my fabulous day.  Did I forget to mention that my 7 year old just learned how to ride her bike yesterday?  She basically taught herself.  I showed her the basics, but she would not stop trying until she got it.  She would get mad and give up for a second, but once she calmed down, she was right back on.  She's so much like me.  When I'm determined to do something, I don't care how long it takes-I'm gonna do it.  I will not stop until I find a way to make it happen.  That's how my daughter is.  That same ramp that me and Baby Girl were going up and down-she wanted to do it, but she kept crashing into the railings.  She threw her bike down, kicked it and pouted.  But she kept trying until she got it.  And she DID get it!  Go Cokie(that's what I call her)!

I have nickmanes for all three of my children.  My oldest, I call him "Lish"(don't ask).  My Oldest daughter, I call her "Co" or "Cokie".  And my Baby Girl, I call her "Japed", "Jaybie", "Jaybis" "Wo-Wo", or "Wobis", and yes, she answers to them all!  I don't know why I just told you that.  I'll probably erase it tomorrow once I figure out what the hell I'm doing.  I really gotta go.  I am making no sense-even to myself!  Night ya'll.

That does sound like a fabulous day! Great job with getting the whole family involved. i know what you mean about "showing" her stuff, like riding on the handlbars and going down the ramp. I sometimes do the same stuff. I showed my daughter how to spin in a chair lol....let's just say I've shown her to many fun things lol...How exciting that your 7-year-old taught herself to ride her bike. That is awesome! That would be something I'd stand back and have a little tear in my eye and a smile saying, "My baby did that!" That's really so neat to see them accomplish things on their own... they get that "I did it" look that's priceless. I call me daughter "dee dee", "doh doh" "mama" (she's a little mama lol) "baby"... so you're not alone in giving nicknames... and my daughter does answer to them all too lol... I like "Japed" that is so cute! take care and rest well

Girl, you can't erase that--it's too funny--my family is a nickname family. My 9 month old answers to all kinds--Danielle, Dani, Booboo, Boo, Booger Bear (dont ask--that's not my name--I call her little Boo or Booboo....I don't know why either, but I started calling her that one day, and never stopped haha.)

Haley used to be Muffin--but now we call her Hollywood b/c she wears sunglasses all the time--she's 5 so it's funny.

But, come to think of it I've never had a nickname until you gave me one Ladybleu. Well, I get called Mom or Woman. No, my husband doesn't really call me that--he's probably afraid my head would pop off.

    Don't delete it

I love the way your writing "lights up" when you write about your family. Getting them active while they are young... what a wonderful role model you are!
