Type: Loss of a ParentI have lost so many family members I am going absolutely bonkers. In 04,06,07, 08 I have lost 3 deaths in those years. I did lose my father in Feb of 91 and that was very traumatic for me too. I am trying so hard to deal with all of these deaths. Bad enough I lost my mother to many things. She had dementia, diabetes, her kidneys had failed. It was too much. I am so glad that I found this group. I am hoping for the help I need.

- well this one's a toughie. My friends have been more supportive than my brothers. It seems to me that they are grieving differently. Staying busy all the time. I understand and accept that.
- Support Groups Too Soon to Tell
- I NEED to join a support group and I would also like to include my older brother. He lives in the same city I do. It would be great if we could.
- Talking Too Soon to Tell
- talking helps but I need more. I need to get some ideas about coping mechanisms.
- Time Not Working
- Well it has been 17 years since I lost my Father. I have pretty much let go. I lost my mom Sept 29th 2007. It hurts. It hurts a lot. Good lord after my mom passed, my aunt. mom's oldest sister passed in Jan 08 and Uncle on my dad's side died march 13, 2008. It has been pure hell. All the members of my dad's family is gone out of 8. And on my mom's side all but 4 aunts. 4 aunts out of 12 siblings. Trying to do the best I can. But it's rough. Grim Reaper has had reign over my fam. This decade.
- Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
- I have a new psychiatrist and a new psychologist. They are helping me with my meds. Adjusting them and so forth. I have been keeping in touch with all of the medical teams at Cleveland Clinic.
Open Menopause
I am also going through what other ladies have talked about here.I'm taking birth control to manage my hormone levels. In all sincerity I wished that I could get a hysterectomy so I don't have this horrible. thing that attacks me every month.
