I'm great!! I stopped to visit Pastor and Betty Lou last week, on my way home from Jerome. Very sad...Its beena while for me bc I know I can see my Mom's future when I visit the Finneys. Pastor seemed to recognize me, but BL wasat the hairdressers and asleep under the dryer, so I just talked a little and left. How's the H and son, my family is busy, busy busy HAHA
Awww thanks honey, you are one of those type of friends also. I don't know what I would do without the support of my friends on DS sometimes. Thank goodness I don't have to find out. Hope you have a great day.
Hey!
I was reading Matthew 18 this morning and was led to start a book I picked up a couple of weeks ago called " He Still Moves Stones" by Max Lucado. It is really good! Alot to contemplate about how we are "bruised" and bent by life, just smoldering along, nearly out. How God can work miracles of healing in our lives.
I really need to hear this right now, maybe you can pick it up or read parts online.
I like Max like you like Joyce, but I love the way Max writes such beautiful word pictures. I wish I was so eloquent.
AS far as people hurting me in a congregation, I always make excuses for them, like they were having a bad day, or her mother died when she was young...oh I got a million of them! But, when Pastor's have attacked me, or disillusioned me I find it alot harder...maybe it's just the man part, I hate it when men act like women are second class, and not to be bothered with. The Catholic Church is still a very male dominated society, not as bad as the Muslim world but definately growing up in a male only seminary with only men teachers...well they aren't always to good at relating to women. SO now I steer clear, I don't question them or take positions of authority like President of commisions, or Director of Religious education. I figure God doesn't want me there...for everything there is a reason , right?
thanks for the hug. here's one back at ya! :)
