      Sick of housemates but will be moving soon.

      Diagnosed with Fibro in Oct, 2007. Also have back probs needing surgery and a graft site that nothing can be done with. Looking for support from people who understand it since no one out here (just moved from MA to OK) seems to get why I hurt. Go figure! lol

      Cymbalta Working / Worked
      Worked well, can't afford it
      Effexor Not Working
      DIdn't work, switched to Cymbalta.
      Lyrica Working / Worked
      Worked terrifically - can't afford it anymore
      Neurontin Somewhat Helpful
      Not as good as Lyrica but cheaper
      Robaxin Somewhat Helpful
      Helps relax tightened muscles due to pain.
      Vitamin B12 Somewhat Helpful
      Actually, I can't tell if it's helping or not

      Full time student, recently moved 2100 miles, Fibro, Back needsa second fusion, stubborn, won't succumb, loves nature esp. mountains and water. . . don't let pain get me down.

      Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
      Helped some aspects a lot. Being weightless was nice. However aggravated my graft site to an extreme.
      Bedrest Somewhat Helpful
      Only on days that moving is near to impossible
      Cortisone (Injection) Working / Worked
      Worked for a month each time
      Epidural Injection Working / Worked
      Worked for several weeks each time
      Heat Somewhat Helpful
      WOrks on simply tight muscles
      Hydrocodone Working / Worked
      Worked for awhile but condition worsened
      Ibuprofen Working / Worked
      Used to work, now have a ruined gut for them.
      Lidoderm Working / Worked
      Works unless things are really bad. Use two at night and will help me to get to sleep due to pain relief.
      Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
      Worked some, aggravated at other times
      Radiofrequency Ablation Working / Worked
      Worked on the areas used for approximately 7 months
      Relaxation Not Working
      It;s hit or miss with me and my back.
      Robaxin Working / Worked
      Works in combo with the Perc on 8 days. Average day is 67 on pain scale
      Stretching Somewhat Helpful
      Ow, oof, immediate relief then back to pain
      TENS Somewhat Helpful
      Depends on severity as to how well it works.

      Helps with muscle spasms, but too hot in summertime

      Worked okay on nerve pain but cannot afford it anymore.
      Nerve Blocks Somewhat Helpful
      Work for a month or less

      Oxycodone Working / Worked
      Don't like to take it but it will work if I take 2 at a time or 1 every 2-3 hours. Using it almost daily but sometimes I'll refuse just because I don't want accept that I'm in pain.

      Helped with overall strength, aggravated a lot.
      Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
      Helped overall but aggravated some sites
      Radiofrequency Ablation Working / Worked
      Worked for about 7 months
      Spinal Fusion Working / Worked
      Worked for 7 years am stalling having the next one although docs are encouraging it
      Robaxin Somewhat Helpful
      Helps in conjunction with Percocet to get me some sleep at night
      Relaxation Somewhat Helpful
      Helps on bad days but too much makes things worse
    • Open Healthy Relationships

      Have had several relationships, one was 17 years. Stayed friends with exes. Am in a somewhat new relationship and it is NOT healthy. Am looking for ways to get my partner working with me, rather than it being all about her. May need to bail if it stays this way.

      I am being very patient, trying to get her to communicate. Waiting for it to work, hopefully.

      I live 2000 miles from my family. My grandmother had a major stroke and there is no hope. She had last rights and now it's just a waiting game with too much suffering and grief for everyone
