I am writing to let everyone know I am doing much better. My new doctor is really helping me a lot. Today was my second instill with the Elmiron. I believe I am finally on the right meds for my IC. The Atarax and the Urispas are making an amazing difference. I will continue to take the Elmiron (only 1x a day) because my doctor thinks it helps. I am also taking Bladder Q 2x a day to supplement the Elmiron. It is much cheaper and it is suppose to do the same thing. I have been drinking DanActive to strengthen the immune system for about 10 days now. Girls from London highly recommend it, so I decided to give it a try. IC is also said to affect the immune system, so maybe it can help in some way. Who knows what will truly make us feel better, but I'll give anything a try!! Take care everyone! Have a great week!

Can you tell me what Urispas is and where you can find Bladder Q. I would like to know of any medicines that may work, as I've tried a few with no results. Thanks, Deborah

I would also like some more info on Atarax and Urispas as well as Bladder Q. I tried Elmiron trying to get pregnant right now so will not use. Thanks

Bladder Q is a supplement you can buy on line. I no longer take it. I now take the two main ingredients in Bladder Q seperately. They are Quercetin with Bromelain(2 per day- 1600 mg.) and L-Arginine(1.5 per day-1500mg.) Urispas is an anticholinergic agent used to treat bladder or bowel spasms. My doctor told me it is a pain pill for the bladder. The Atarax is an antihistamine used to treat anxiety, to relieve itching caused by allergic conditions, and to cause drowsiness. I take it because I believe for me there is a conection between my IC and severe allergies. I only take 1/2 of a 25mg. pill at night(about 7pm if going to bed at 9 or 10pm) I found if I took it too late I was still tired in the morning. I find I do better on just 1/2 of my dose. It relaxes the muscles in the bladder, and it helps you to sleep at night. I take the Atarax everyday, but I only take the Urispas as needed. Maybe 1-2 times per week. Things are much better for me now. I did start taking the Elmiron 2x a day. I am not sure if you can take the Atarax while pregnant are not, but it is something worth looking into. These medications have made a HUGE difference for me. Good Luck! Hugs to all!
