Thanks, Mockingbird, I have read-up on vertebroplasty and khytoplasty....but everything I've been reading still says that fusion surgery is the foremost 'fix' (when it works right!) for spondylolisthesis. I'm still going to ask Dr. P what he thinks about other options when I see him tomorrow (and he ought to have my new MRI pics in hand), but, actually, after reading about these and other procedures, it seems like they are for other things and other conditions, and 1 article even said the khytoplasty is not for "established spinal deformities"...which I'm afraid what I have will count as, since it also curves my lower spine causing my 1st diagnosis to be a kind of scoliosis. >:-/
But anyway. I wax and wane between wanting to get a surgery over with and seeing if it helps or what, and just plain being scared to death, so I put all of this off.
I don't think I could go in for surgery till sometime in December, anyway, just looking at when we could get family to come out here and help with the kids while I'd be laid-up. And, of course if we go into the next year, we're looking at a brand spanking new deductible. Integris has been real nice, except I hate our insurance!
