Why don't my friends write to me? Are my messages boring? I feel sad today.
I lost my husband in Aug of 2007.I am trying hard to cope but it is not easy. I cannot believe he is gone. 61 years is a long time to have someone and then lose him. I am grateful for all those years tho and I know he is in a better place. He would not want to come back unless he could be healthy and active. His last few months were not good ones. I have five children all grown and with children and grandchildren of their own but they have been a great help to me. I don't know what I would have done without them.
I have many interests. Walking, reading, puzzles, crafts and emailing are a few.

I have been depressed very often since having my surgery. I seemed to have mood swings most of my life but this is very different. Unfortunaely, I have passed the gene onto some of my family.
I had Graves Disease in 1980. I was given the radioactive iodine treatment and now I have hypothyroid but still some symptoms of hyperthyroid.Hot instead of cold etc. I was on Synthroid but had surgery in 2004 and was put on Levothyroxrin (sp?) I make sure I take that medication even if I forget the others. I can tell when I haven't taken it. My dosage keeps chaging.
I am certainly qualified for the Senior Aging. I have been married a long time. My husband has dementia. He hasn't started wandering yet but life is difficult for me. Hope to meet some other oldsters through this site and exchange ideas.
