MIssy... you're my inspiration for witty titles (haha)

Tomorrow I am 20 years OLD.  (Crazy).  The parents are coming to take me out to dinner (scary) and I'll probably have to eat cake (really frightening) Overall I have mixed feelings.

Today I had a lot of labs, went to the gym and ran 3 miles.  Skated for 2 hours.  I upped my cals today to 1,500.  I tend to jump around with my intake to keep my metabolism guessing, so it doesn't slow down on me!  I weigh tomorrow.

School is going pretty well so far, first quizzes came back, all 90's so I'm content with that.  I really have to do well this semester to make up for my B- in spanish (online) grr.

Basic tomorrow, I'm soooo excited.  We always have a blast :)

Has anyone heard of CR?  (calorie restriction) it's not a diet, its a lifestyle to improve longevity and create a longer life by helping your organs etc.  I've done some research and it's basically what I do now.  Limit cals to around 1,300ish of really healthy whole foods.  It gives your organs rest while providing all the nutrition you need.  It's actually been researched quite a bit with positive results.  I feel like it's a good choice for me, and it makes me feel like I really don't have a problem.  This isn't a mainstream lifestyle yet, but its gaining recognition, and I feel like it's what I do!   Maybe what I'm doing now is actually helping my health, which is cool!

why are you trying to make excuses for what you do? physically, the side effects of CR are the SAME as for restricting in AN. You lose muscle (and your HEART is a muscle), you're underweight and subject to all the problems that comes with that (always cold, lack of energy, osteoporosis, not enough glucose to the brain, etc). While you might live longer, the quality of your life probably wouldn't be as good.

Think of what it was like when you were really underweight. Do you really want to live that way?

Happy Birthday for tomorrow!!! Have a great day and try to relax about going out for a meal and eating cake, its only 1 day. I have heard of the calorie restriction thing but I dont think it seems like a good idea with the amount of exercise you do.
