to be honest *could trigger? Mood
Monday, August 18, 2008
Well today starts 28 days.  I'm happy about that.  When I meet this goal I will make one for 1.5 months!  But to be completely honest, I'm not happy with this weight.  I want to lose. I want to do it in a healthy way.  But I want to lose weight.  I ate too much this week and though I didn't binge, my stomach feels flabby.  My boobs have gotton bigger.  There was a time where when I put on a sports bra I was completely flat, no joke.  After this competition I have 2 monthes until my next one.  Thats plenty of time to lose 10 lbs and then maintain before I compete so i have enough energy.  I made a food plan for school.  It's not too restrictive.  Just very healthy. One sweet thing a week.  Lots of salad.  I'll be about 1,600 cals a day, which will be ok with my training.  thats about 500 cals less than my normal maintan intake.  So I'll lose about a 1-2 lbs a week which is healthy and an ok way to do things.  I know if i go crazy restrictive I will binge, or I will have no energy to skate and my jumps will get crappy.  So I'll be smart.  And I don't want to get too low.  I  just want to be on the low end of healthy, not in the middle anymore.

Have you thought about sharing your food plan with a nutritionist? I thought I was making a healthy meal plan but I was waaaay off and completely lying to myself in what I was eating (even though I didn't mean to). I think you and I are in the same vicious cycle... we're both extremely athletic so our bodies hold onto muscle weight pretty well--we both know this weighs more than fat--but despite that the "extra" weight makes us feel depressed and we "find" regions in our body that need extra work. I'm a runner and I used to play soccer so my thighs are pretty muscular but I often confuse it with fat. My stomach region? Yah, not the six pack or flat tummy I want. But judging from your pictures you look AMAZING.

I'm just worried about you... you're doing so well and to restrict is to do something dangerous. I really really advise you to pass your meal plan by someone just to make sure it's okay for you to follow. I'm all about toning up but why not be safe and make sure that if you're going to do it you go for the gold and arm your body with the proper fuel it needs to give you the results you're hoping to see.

oh and the boob comment? Love your boobs! I'm in that nasty community of girls who really really miss their boobs--I don't have to wear a bra :(. I'm sad and I wish I had boobs to fill out my bathing suit and clubbing shirts... so hey, if you got 'em, rock 'em, that's what being a girl is all about ;)

Just be sure that you're getting enough, honey. Please, if you feel like you're not getting enough in, or you're more tired then normal, eat a little more.

i know exactly how u feel wanting to lose weight...i think most of us on here ALL want to, but just remember that eating normally and recovering is what is most important!u are doing so well and i don't want to see you restricting and then getting back into the habit of binging! just be careful :)

i agree with all the comments about not restricting. i went to see a psychiatrist yesterday, and told her how i'm extremelly unhappy an uncomfortable wherei am right now and would like to get to a healthier weight. she said one of the most important things is not to restrict. as we know, it leads to a binge, and we can't keep up the boring, restrictive and punishing lifestyle. be true to yourself, be as happy as you can be!! good luck hun.xo

Ehh, to be totally honest girl, I'm not crazy about the idea of you trying to lsoe weight. I know it's tempting, believe me, but I just don't think it's a good idea right now. I'd give it some more time. And I'm very proud of you for making it this far, love. You are so determined and I think we could all learn a little from you.

But please, consider the thought of not lsoing, at least for now. You really are beautiful girl, just by looking at your pictures, and you're definitely NOT fat. Also, remember that EVERRYBODY ahs some flab on their stomach, even losing weight won't make that go away. LOVE YOU!
