  Sorry you've been feeling down. I always have problems with depression around the holidays. My father died just before Thanksgivng when I was 11. Hope you're doing better.

  Hi Lillian, Good to hear from you. Thank's for your concern and prayers! I am doing pretty well right now. I still have to put up with this darned arthritis. It seems like things that need to be done gets harder and harder to do. Other than that I guess I am pretty healthy. That hemoraging from my urinary tract stoped completly before I got to the urologist. They did a CT scan and ran a scope into my bladder plus a urinalisis. Every thing was clear. No polyps or no sign of blood. Praise God. Miracles do still happen! All of those prayers were certainly heard. The Holy Spirit came over me like I haven't felt in a long time and the bleeding just stoped. Praise God!!! How are you doing? It has been a while since we have written to each other. Send me a note and let me know how you are doing. OK? I pray for everyone here on DS every night before I go to sleep. Thank everyone that have sent up prayers for me. Joey

  Sometime this year, we taxpayers may again receive an Economic Stimulus payment.
  
  This is a very exciting new program. I will explain it using the Q and A format:
  
  Q. What is an Economic Stimulus payment?
  A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.
  
  Q. Where will the government get this money?
  A. From taxpayers.
  
  Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
  A. Only a smidgen.
  
  Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
  A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.
  
  Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?
  A. Shut up.
  
  Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:
  
  * If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China .
  * If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to the Arabs.
  * If you purchase a computer, it will go to India .
  * If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico , Honduras and Guatemala .
  * If you buy a car, it will go to Japan .
  * If you purchase useless stuff, it will go to Taiwan .
  * If you pay your credit cards off, or buy stock, it will go to management bonuses and they will hide it offshore.
  
  Instead, keep the money in America by:
  
  1 spending it at yard sales, or
  2 going to hockey/ball games, or
  3 spending it on prostitutes, or
  4 beer or
  5 tattoos.
  
  (These are the only American businesses still operating in the US ..)
  
  ***
  I'm going to go to a ball game with a tattooed prostitute that I met at a yard sale, and drink beer! Just call me a patriot.

  I'm still recuperating from the surgery so it's hard to say. The pain in my arms has lessened and now the herniated disc in my low back( l4-5) hurts more. Hope you're having a good day.

  Hi Lillian.Thanks for checking up on me. It's good to hear from you. I know what you mean about the days all melting together. Seem like the older we get the faster time goes. It is going to frost tonight so there go the plants outside. I'm not feeling too bad right now had a minor flare and some stomach problems a couple of days ago, just now getting over it. I hope all is well with you.

  I've been off line too long myself. I just got back from visiting my grandbabies in Arizona and I'm pretty bummed out now. I really didn't want to come back home. I felt a whole lot better out there too. The heat made me hurt less. Talk to you soon.
