Ok, so.... I hate this time of year. Call me a Scrooge, whatever you like. My grandmother and uncle died shortly after Christmas when I was 12, and last year, my aunt died shortly BEFORE Christmas. This time of year is never as happy for me as I'd like it to be. The sight of the tree with all it's lights and decorations doesn't fill me with joy and wonder, it just makes me cry. And I bitterly despise cold weather. Not to mention colds and the flu. Yeah, I try to be outwardly cheerful, and most of the time I succeed. And it's not even that I'm grumpy or really Scrooge-y, this time of year just makes me sad, and the weather makes my head hurt.
On the bright side, though, I AM getting my finances back on track. With my parents' help, but I'm doing it. My best friend's wedding is coming up, and I'm taking some vacation time from work the week after Christmas. So I'll have time to relax while I'm finishing up the wedding plans. Maybe I'll even be able to find a new job. I certainly hope so.... Great Clips is a terrible company to work for, and I don't care who knows I said that. :P
