About Me
I'm a single mom of 2 boys ages 4 and 8! They are the light of my life! My oldest son lives with his dad about 140 miles from me and it's hard, but I get to see him every other weekend. Just a decision that his father and I came to because he really needs a male figure and his father is much more strict with him, which he needs. I miss him all the time, but I know that he's happy. My 4 year old lives with me, and his father is not in the picture, which I'm just fine with... he has issues and I realized this after I was pregnant. How unfortunate! Caden is profoundly deaf and has a cochlear implant so we are teaching him to talk and listen. Not an easy task but very rewarding to see him progress. We're both learning sign language as well. We think he went deaf around 2 years of age from CMV (cytomeglavirus) It's a very common virus that most people come into contact, it usually does not show systems but if you are pregnant in your first trimester and you contract the virus it can have serious affects on that child. I'm grateful that he's deaf because some of those babies have serious health problems. I currently work for Denton ISD as a Residental Facility tracker of special needs children. School age children who live in foster care and facilities as well as the juvenile dention center. My boyfriend (the love of my life) is currently in federal prison in south texas just north of corpus christie, it's hard to be away from him for so long, but I know when he gets out things will be even more awesome. I love him and I stand by him. We all make mistakes and I'm not one to judge. We get to e-mail eachother from prison so, luckily I get talk to him pretty much everyday.

Interests
I like to make jewelry and crochet, i love to read, watch comedies. Although besids watching funny movies, and taking care of a special needs child I don't ge much time to do these things. and that's ok becaus there will come a time when my children are grown I can do these hoppies on my own time...so I don't want to rush my children's child hood. Oh, I also love to play pool and shoot darts!! AS I am a girl I do enjoy shopping, but only when the funds allow, and since I work for a schol district that pretty much is the answer as to why my funds are limited. I also enjoy taking my boys to the movies and to chuckee cheese or just hanging out at the park on nice days.

Close Hearing Loss & Deafness
Type: Conductive (Profound)I'm a hearing mother of a 4 year old deaf boy, Caden. He got a cochlear in November of 2007. It's been really hard and rewarding all at the same time.

- Caden has the hearing and communication of a 7 month old

I'm a single mother of an 8 year old boy (part time only, he lives with his dad because my laywer sucked!) and a 4 year old boy who is profoundly deaf. They are the loves of my life:)
Open Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed in the spring of 2006 with Bipolar 1 rapid cycler. I've been on all sorts of meds. I'm not on any right now..don't ask why...if you bp you know the answer! LOL. I just try to live my life from day to day and moment to moment.

- made me into a zombie

- only used it once made me a zombie
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- used Invega which is part of the risperdal family. worked, but made me sleepy
- Seroquel Not Working
- turned me into a zombie
- Trileptal Working / Worked
- I was allergic to it and I broke out into a rash all over my body but it worked for the mental part.
Open Families of Prisoners
I'm not a family member of a person in prison, but my boyfriend is in Prison. I miss him so much. We didn't date that long before he went in, in fact we had broken up and lost contact and he wrote me letters. He made mistakes. we all have. I'm there for him and I'm waiting for him when he gets out.
