So sorry to hear of yet another loss -- animals can leave a great gap in our lives when they go as they are such loving and uncritical mates -- I'm glad to hear that you do have other 'friends' and hopefully they will give you comfort, particularly as you remember many of the happy times you all had together.

Cheer up Foz -- you are allowing yourself to sink into a depressed state. Seriously consider going and speaking with your doctor and getting some sort of medication to take the 'edge off' of this state of mind. Don't make such a huge decision like selling up and moving when you are in this mindset -- you could be doing the wrong thing! When you went to the Bahamas were you on your own? Who went with you? If you went now, on your own, would you really be duplicating what happened before? Be very careful. There is nothing wrong with taking medication to get you over this hump of depression -- and once you are out of it then you will be able to make serious decisions. If you can't find a paid job right now, how about offering to do some volunteer work in your community, just to get you out of bed and doing something meaningful right now. There is bound to be a volunteer centre in your city and they are always looking for people to help -- check them out. good luck Foz -- this too will pass, just give it time and look for something to help take your mind off of the situation. Cheers, Cath

Just a quick message to let you know that I am thinking of you and hoping that the pain is easing, just a bit at least. Take good care, Cath

My thoughts and prayers are with you Foz -- perhaps you can consider finding a counsellor to help you through this grieving process. One does need to go through it, but the process itself is theraputic and eases the total grief, strange as though that may seem. Its a bit like getting a cold, silly as that may sound. Once you catch one, its going to take at least 7 days before you will be well again. You can take various treatments to ease the symptoms, but it won't go away any faster, no matter what you do. Grief is the same although the time frame is not as clear. It is a process and one does need to face it and go through it, before you begin to heal and be able to move forward. Finding someone to help may make it a bit easier, particularly if that helper knew the person who has died. Someone to share the process helps to reduce the weight of pain at the loss. Bless you and I wish you strength as you face the next few months. Thinking of you, Cath
