I just wrote a long reply for you to read. I am new but found you 1st. I know what you are going through - and that means something. All of this is not bad - meaning it should make us appreciate what we have now much more. Read my notes - I did not proof - I simply write... Stay in touch.
Not sure how that is done yet but I hope to hear back when time allows. Watch a sunset today - then understand many have never and will never see it..... Its' free each day by the way... same thing happens in the morning. Have faith -

    • I’m With You

      From NurseJan September 27, 2008

Wow, I thought I was young at 56 to get AMD! My right eye is also symptom free but I'm frustrated by that grayish green cloud in front of the left. My friends kid me about knocking everything over at work. But now I know I'm not a klutz! With my diagnosis I won't be kidded anymore. I kept telling them, "You'll be sorry when I find out there's something really wrong with me!" It's a bittersweet victory. I told my daughter that her kids would run away screaming, "Eek, Nana wants to feel my face again!" . I've worked for 2 decades with people with disabilities and find humor really helps. What else is there to do? Cry? Nah, it makes you eyes red and puffy. Who needs that???? There is always some poor soul worse off.

Sounds scary but also that you want to know what happens. I feel better when I know about others with MD.
