About Me
I am a 28-year-old photographer recently diagnosed and "treated" for endo, yet still experiencing occasional pain and constant numbness in the area where the lesions were removed. I am desperate to one day be able to have my own children and heartbroken that there is a chance that that may never happen.

Close Endometriosis
I was diagnosed with endo around May of last year after going to my doctor for the chronic pain I was experiencing. I was told that I had a large cyst growing on one of my ovaries that could be the cause of my pain. After having surgery to remove the cyst I was told that they had found that I also had endometriosis. Although, I was told that endometriosis was treatable, it broke my heart to hear that it can also cause infertility. And although, I’m not currently in a relationship, it hurts to think that if I don’t find someone soon and begin trying to have kids it may never happen for me. This thought has caused me great anxiety and depression.
Treatments
- Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- Oral Contraceptives Too Soon to Tell
- I had been taking the pill for about three months after having surgery to remove the endo and found it to do little more than make me moody. I am currently giving it another shot hoping that this time around it will help.
