Got my 18 month chip today from AA. I had my days when I nearly slipped but I didn't. I hung on because I put more thought into what it was I almost wanted to do, and how many people I would hurt by doing it. When I did that it was easy to stay sober because I only want to help people and not hurt them.
I have also been clean from narcotics for about 2 years. That was much more difficult because the pills made me feel much better then the alcohol did.

Bob, just focus on a day at a time and how good you feel and how far you have come

You r so kind. You think of how your actions would affect OTHERS, more than how the drink would affect YOU. I admire that, Bob. Kudos to you, man!!!
