About Me
I am a survivor of domestic violence, .After ten years of being abused, physically emotionally and mentally... it taught me to be a stronger person. And to use my experience to reach out and help and support anyone who has gone through or going through this tragic time in there life. I also know what it is like to loose people you love...I lost my dad unexpectedly, and a year and a half later lost my mom to cancer. I am no one special or claim to be.. I welcome anyone among my group of friends, I extend my hand of friendship to anyone who is willing to take it.

I describe my interest with one word.. simplicity. I enjoy the simple things in life... I'm a home-body and a T.V. junkie. I also enjoy writing poetry. I love the sound of laughter.. and have a pretty weird sense of humor that not everyone understands. Boring? Maybe to you.

Hey GentleHugs...Sorry I haven´t been able to communicate with you. I am currently in Spain on R&R. I have been trying to email Daniel, but he doesn´t reply. Do you know if he is OK. How are you doing? Hope all is well. I will only be here until the 22nd. Once I am back in the Middle East, I will not be able to get onto this site. They have all type of restrictions on the internet, including social networking sites, which this is. I am currently in Madrid. I decided to go backpacking. Tomorrow I will catch a bus to who knows where. I´m just playing it by ear and going where the wind takes me. Hope to hear from you before I leave. Take care...Alfy

Type: Loss of a ParentI lost my mom to cancer about 4 years ago, and lost my dad a year and a half prior. Although it's been a while, it seems like yesterday. Taking it day by day, but the emptiness is still there.
