Married, mother of 3 w/myasthenia gravis. Had a thymectomy in 2003. Thankful that I was able to have the type performed by a robot. Did not have to have any chest bones broken. The incison was made under my right arm, and the thymus was pulled out of my armpit. I had to have a top notch heart surgeon to perfom it. The healing was very painful, but it healed very well. Tried many rx's, however no progress. Trying very hard to live a normal life for my family. I have family memebers w/similar conditons to mg, and/or suffer the same conditions I have listed. For instance, the food allergies, so severe that the food must be avoided like poison. Hypoglycemia is on my mother and father side. Asthma is suffred by several family members. My prayer is that one day soon we will all be healed and be able to live our lives without restraints.

Close Myasthenia Gravis
Diagnosed with mg in 2003. Have had problems prior to that for many of years, as far back as 1987. Doctors could not determined the source of the problem. I have had a thymectomy, been on steroids, taken ivig's, and still continue with mestonin. I am now trying rituxan.
