Today was a bit day at my house. My step son Dallas got to meet his daughter for the very first time, she is 11 months old.
To make this as short as possible when his now ex girl friend got pregnant her mother insisted they could no longer date and had to treat the situation as "business".
So they eventually broke up. Both were seniors in high school and he started telling Tiffany that he was going to take the baby away from her when she had it. He had her so upset that her mom insisted she put a restraining order on him.
The judge made it for a year which meant he couldn't see the baby when it came.
In the meantime the girl friend and my husband and I became very close. My stepson was too embarrased to come around so our friendship with TIffany grew and grew.
The restraining order was up a few months ago but my husbands ex told Dallas the order was for 5 years so each time he would see Tiff and baby uptown near him he would turn and run so to speak.
I talked to him by phone last week, first time in a long time and I told him the restraining order had been up for some months.
Tiffany wants him in Kloii's life and to be friends. So Bill and I ask Tiff if she wanted to come spend the weekend and have Dallas come meet his daughter today. She spends lots of weekends with us anyway so yes she wanted that.
So today my step son now out of school and going to college soon came to see his daughter. It was an emotional moment. He was so nervous to see Tiffany again but she is good at acting normal and breaking the ice.
I cooked a big spagetti lunch and we made home made ice cream and they talked as if they had never been away from each other. Both are dating someone else now but who knows.
They and we played and laughed with Kloii all day.
When it came time for us to take Tiff and baby back to town he had not seen enough of his daughter so she ask him if he wanted to come to her place and they take the baby for a walk.
I spoke to her at 8:30 P.M. and she said they did a lot of talking. He was still there. She will phone me later.
It was a good day!

It seems like only yesterday that he was spending a week or two with me each summer and we would go fishing.
Now he is 22 and getting married to a lovely lady. Josh and Cassie are getting married today at 5:00 in Missouri. I wanted to go so badly but I have been ill since last Sept when I took the last trip there and have not been able to snap back.
I sure am a bit sad today. I cannot wait to see video of the wedding.
Just a little down today.
