Well,, i went to a very nice wedding yesterday. Funny thing is that it was a cousin of my husband's that we did not know existed until maybe 6 years ago. I worked for a homehealth agency that went into people homes and cared for them and this girl relieved me and she was new. Well, back in those days I talked as fast and as much as a ducks behind wiggles. (an old saying of my pap's) I of course stayed for several hours to talk to her and get to know her and she asked me what my last name was and i told her and she then told me that she had a friend with that last name. She then told that this friend had just moved to less than a mile from my house, so I stopped and talked to her one day. We found out through a little research that her and my husband were cousin, like 3 or 4th or 5th, but they were cousins. We became friends and that is history. Well, anyway, I went to this wedding and the reason I mention it here is because as sweet and simple as it was, it was also probably one of the rarest i have ever heard of and I have never heard or seen the like of it before. This couple is young, maybe early twenties. Older than I was when I married, but still young. The starnge paart was that part of the ceremony was about how they were both still virgins. ok, very, very rare in this day and age, but rarer then that was that they had been dating for a few years and they also had never kissed before. That one blew my mind. Wow! They had decide that they would wait until their wedding day to have any physical contact other than holding hands. That one was jsut something to me. has anyone else ever known of a couple like this. I mean they are not Amish, which it is very common for an Amish couple to have never actually been left alone let alone even held hands before they are married. These are normal everyday people. Wow! Anyway, it was a nice, simple wedding and I had a very nice time and was very glad to be invited.
The other things that happend this weekend are my son is gone today with his Boyscout troop. They went to ride a train today so they can get their railroading merit badges. He has done some of the coolest stuff since being with the boyscouts. He has gone flying, hiking, biking, camping, has ridden a train and gone to camp. he has gone places, seen things that I never have and maybe never will. I love, love boyscouts!!!
The other thing is on top of a hole in our roof, no hot water and no heat this winter, my washing machine has died. I really need to get my disability and get my family out of this trailer and into a house or another trailer that is safe and well mantained. Oh well, I will deal with it as always.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!!!!

Scouts does sound wonderful. Trips are one of the things I like most with my D being in band. I never got to travel when I grew up. Family trips were to the beach and we camped, or to a river...again camping, or when my Dad had horses we did trail rides and they were always in state inside a camper. When I got married we honeymooned in Jamacia. We also traveled to other states mostly if there was family there. After awhile we stopped. There are still many places I want to see in the US. My D likes to go places too, so I got a traveling partner for a while anyway.
Seeing places and doing things are way better in real life than reading about them or looking at pictures of them.
Bummer about the washer. I will need to shop for a W/D when I move. Not looking forward to that. We bought one a few months ago, but since my Ex took the credit card debt on it (the tv was on there too) then he gets to keep the stuff. Anyway, it's a lousy washer. We got it at Best buy and it twists everything up tight no matter how I lay it inside the washer. I wont miss it at all. It was a basic full capacity with limited settings. I never used all the settings on the last one so I figured why pay more?
