    About Me

I am a wife and mother of 3. A 16 year old boy, a 10 year old girl and a 5 year old girl. I have been married for 17 years. I worked as a Home Health Aide for 11 years until in May of 2006 I was struck by a pick-up truck while standing in my driveway. I had ACL, PCL and MCL reconstruction surgery on my right August 14th 2006. I had a clavicle resection on November 14th 2007.I am now in chronic daily pain. I am hoping to find other people who have the same interests or problems that I do. My husband and children are wonderful, but don't really understand what has happened to me.

    Interests

I enjoy making beaded and chain mail jewelry, crocheting, knitting and other crafts. I love to read and be with my friends and family.

      From Janelle54 Friday

I read some of your post. Have you asked your doctor(s) about Motor Cortex Stimulation being implanted for pain? I had this done on 9/11/08. It has definetely helped with the pain in my arm. Spinal Cord Stimulation is also excellent for pain. I couldn't have it because of Spinal Canal Stenosis. I don't know exactly what all your health issues are. I do know that these procedures are excellent for pain. My pain is from nerve damage. It is possible these procedures are for nerve injuries. I wouldn't be surprised if you have nerve damage. What doctors do you go to? Janelle

In 2006 while standing in my drive way I was hit by a pick-up truck. I flew 22 feet and landed in the grass in front of my house. The man that hit me fled the scene. A month later my husband on his way to work passed the damaged truck and called the State Police. He denied ever hitting me. I suffered a broken R arm and sever damage to my R knee. I had damage to my L shoulder.
