I have been married for 4 years. I have a beautiful daughter who is 3 and is very head strong! I am a special ed. teacher for grades k-6 in a very rural New England town. I have 5 nieces and nephews and I'm close to all of them. I would like to add one more child to my family.

Superhero Status
I find that if I put my contacts in it forces me to stay awake all day long. That, and lots of coffee are helping. However, more than a few hours of sleep at a time would be wonderful. Hope you are hanging in there...I'm expecting a growth spurt soon. Take care!

Close Miscarriage
I found out I was pregnant the day before my 30th birthday. At almost 9 weeks I had my first prenatal visit and they did an ultrasound. They could not find a heartbeat, but my baby had perfect measurements. It was confirmed the next day on May 22nd that my baby had recently passed away. I had a D and C on May 23rd.

Open Pregnancy After Loss/Infertility
I found out I had a missed m/c at almost 9 weeks, May 22nd 2008. I had a D and C the next day. I was devestated and lost. Found out today, September 18th that I am pregnant again...so scared.
Open Back Pain
In my early twenties I started having lower back pain. It got increasingly worse. After my daughter was born in 2005, I could no longer hold her or walk. I found out I have degenerative disc disease and had ruptured L5-S1. I had a spinal fusion in 2006 at the age of 27. L3 and L4 are slightly herniated, but cause little pain.
Treatments
- Bedrest Working / Worked
- while it helped to lie down, this was hard to do when working and taking care of a baby!
- Chiropractic Adjustment Not Working
- Never helped.
- Epidural Injection Somewhat Helpful
- Worked great for the first couple of days, not worth the injection pain.
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- Physical Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- Spinal Fusion Working / Worked
- In 2006 after becoming bed ridden and having to take vicoden I decided to get L5 and S1 fused. I have 6 screws in my back. The recovery was terrible but I am 90 pain free now.
