Hello..I am a retired Medical Assistant, worked in doctors offices and hospitals and labs. I was forced to retire do to health reasons and mental health reasons. Im enjoying life, wanting to travel abit, and just give my self a break. I have 2 children and a long term boyfriend. My pet peeves are, people that treat others with disrespect, or child abusers. Other then that, life is good.

My interests are, looking at sunsets, takeing pixs of nature, motorcycling, computers, traveling, and any thing that has to do with water. I like watching forensic shows, and Dr. Phil..LOL. and of course Oprah..

Close Bipolar Disorder
Hi, my name is Patti. I was diagnosed Bi-polar about 4 years ago. I knew I suffered from it long before the official diag. I am taking Wellbutrin now, I have tryed quite a few meds, just couldnt stay on them. I knew I needed one just for Bi-polar. My imbalances, have made it hard to keep a job. I was in nursing, but had to retire for Health reasons.I also suffer from Hep C, which I contracted on the job. Im doing ok .I tryed treatment for it, but got too sick. Too low white blood cells.
Treatments
- Ativan Working / Worked
- I suffer from panic attacks, so I take them PRN.
- Lamictal Not Working
- I got the worst headaches for 4 months straight. Im trying to start a new med this month..
- Trazodone Working / Worked
- I take about 50 mg. before bed, works great, as long as you get right to bed.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- Wellbutrin is working good for depression, I had started Lamictal, but it didnt work for me headaches. I may try Abilify next.
Close Hepatitis C
Hi.., I was diagnosed about 5 years ago. with Hep C during a Routine physical. Shocked me!! I was a Reg. Medical Assistant, and worked with patients drawing blood, and minor surgerys. I was poked alot..Call me clumsy. I worked in a few labs also. I wasnt cautious.I lost my career,Im retired now. SSI. pays my rent. I tried treatment approx. 3 years ago. Couldnt finish. Low white blood count, and enemia. I had extream panic attacks while useing the Interferon, and Ribvarin.
Treatments
- Interferon Somewhat Helpful
- It was awful, terrible sides, I was halucinating, colors kinda. The terrible taste in my mouth made me feel yucky..I only made it for 4 months. Low white blood count, and enemia, and lots of sides..My viral load did go down for awhile.
- Ribavarin Somewhat Helpful
- Same thing, terrible sides, I could only stayon it for 4 months. My viral load, did go down about 6 million, in that short time, but now its going up again..That was 3 years ago.
