Hi im terri 43yr and mother to three grown up children, i am the youngest of five three sisters and one brother. i have a few health problems had 3 dvt's and also a pe. also an enlarged spleen, around 18 months ago was told i had lupus i thought i was going out of my mind when my gp would send me for tests and come back negative. my lupus is quite bad at this moment in time so feeling sorry for myself, because people can't see any of my problems they seem to look at me as i am moaning or even going out of my mind. thng do really get me down at times, thought i would give the internet a try see if i can find some new friends to talk to.

Drive-by hug! I see you are a member of People from the UK. Close Lupus
I have been diagnosed with lupus (sle) FOR AROUND 19 months, i have been going to see my gp for two yrs before that with pain in my wrists. she did blood tests but each time they came back negative, that got me feeling very low and did not know where to turn or what to do next. after many visits to my gp she finaly sent me th wrightington hospital where they did tests and many many questions for lupus. Finaly in december 06 they told me that i have lupus , thats a big relief off my mind knowing that some thing was causing all my pain.
Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
I woke up one day with a pain in my chest went o the hospital and they found i had a pe , this had stemed from thr dvt under my knee in my right leg.Taken into hospital and put on a drip for 5 days , sent home on medication and here i am 10 yrs later stil on meds and have got 2 new dvt one in each leg. life sucks lol

Open Pulmonary Embolism
Terri when i was 36 i woke up with a pain in my chest, just thought it was trapped wind i guess. iEach time i move in any way i got this pain in my chest so asked my other half to get me some pain killers. He was not having none of this and insisted i went to the hospital, had many blood tests and and x-rays . after many hours i was told o had a pe , kept in hospital for seven day put on medication and sent home. i was on 0mg of warfrin for months till they could fine the right one for me
Treatments
- Heparin Not Working
- was very frightening and had some bad thoughts going around in my head
Open High Blood Pressure
wehn to see my doctor about my lupus an he found i have high blood preasure, sent me to see mt gp who is turn has made me an appointment to have and ECG, chest x-ray and bloods done all on tuesday moreing.
