Hello! I haven't checked in with you for awhile. I hope all is well with you; how are you doing with the Sleep Apnea? I have times when I think I'm doing OK but lately I 've been very tired despite wearing my mask all night, sigh. Anyway, noticed that you are in Alexandria, VA; my husband and I go to concerts at the Birchmere 2 or 3 times a year! Have a nice holiday!
I’m With You
If you say so, LOL!! It is really hard to believe that sometimes when you are in the throes of it all! Hope you have a great weekend!

Hang in there:)

Thanks for the pick me up! My first sleep study did not involve a mask so this is all really crazy for me.

Close Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
I have episodes of IBS during high stress periods that are similiar to allergic reactions. However, I don't believe it to be an allergic reaction but a sensitivity due to the stress and tension. As I am sensitive to everything I eat during the time period after my first reaction. I get really tired after I eat. I am attempting to treat the stress that will hopefully resolve the IBS.
Treatments
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- Terrible IBS that resulted in a reaction everytime I ate. The reaction was suspected to be due to hightened sensitivity due to stress/anxiety.
Open Fibromyalgia
Not sure if I have Fibro, have some of the symptoms and it actually runs on my father's mother's side of the family (several of my Aunt's and cousins have it). I have been experiencing IBS flare ups during high stress/anxiety time periods in which I get sensitive to everything that I put in my stomach almost like an allergic rxn. In addition, I have muscle ache's. Wanted to find out more about Fibro.
Treatments
Open Sleep Apnea
Have had sinus problems my whole life which have led to difficulty with sleeping. Has lead to other medical conditions which I am still learning how to cope!
Treatments
- CPAP Somewhat Helpful
- Still trying it out, but when sinuses are "stuffy" not even the CPAP helps!
- Lose Weight Working / Worked
- Have lost 30 pounds with some improvement but still definately have sleep apnea.
Open Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Treatments
- Metformin Working / Worked
- Working but have bouts of low blood sugar while spikes of high blood sugar closer to cycle.
Open Menopause
Have suspected since age of 39, after having son at 38. Started with anxiety and GI distress issues associated with cycle.
