  Mayday, don't feel embarrassed about the date thing. As you said, you went to the meeting, and that was a step forward -- a huge one. If you were uncomfortable with the PERSON, then I think it's smart and right to retreat a bit and figure out why. For anyone, in fact, not just survivors. Hope you are feeling better about it today.

  Yeah! I was a zookeeper for about 6 years. From 13-19. I worked with elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, emu's, penguins, snow leopards, porcupines, 3 types of primates, lots of birds, farm animals, education animals, and a sloth. Loved them all.

  Thanks Mayday! I know when I blow it I feel like such a failure. Disappointment is almost a better word. I've tried to promise people close to me that I'd stop. Can't do that anymore because when I blew it I found it only made that feeling worse so the behavior was worse. But thanks!! I'll try to be easier on myself and look at each day as a success!! :-)
