I'm Unique.--- A wife, a mother, a grandmother, a goof ball, an adventurer, a believer, ---- I could go on .... I was diagnosed with PD over 11 years ago and fortunately the disease has progressed slowly. I'm starting to have more limitations now but I try to stay positive and live life to the fullest. My husband and I are full time RVers and have done some volunteer work when we travel. We want to continue our lifestyle but are starting to make adjustments due to my Parkinsons . I have a very supportive husband and family. I am truly blessed!

Sorry to hear that you don't think the future looks promising. I took am in the same boat as I cannot picture my husband as a caregiver down the road. He has put my Parkinson's on the same level as his Diabetes for diseases.....he has no clue. We are going on a Parkinson's cruise in January and I think that will be a big eye opener for him. Some people just aren't cut out for care givers. My mom who is 74 figures that it will be her and I living together eventually and helping each other out! Not a bad thought since she lives most of the time in Barbados and I know the heat and the sea help my body. Sorry for rambling....up to early. If you need to chat send me a note.

I ENJOYED OUR BRIEF "CONVERSATIONS" WE' HAD. I HOPE YOU WILL SEND ME A MESSAGE SOON.
My husband has suffered from depression for over 38 years. For many years, we didn't have a " tag" that we could attribute his sick time to. He'd call in sick for work with vague complaints ie nausea, fatigue, headache etc. and say he had the flu. Over the years these bouts of unwellness have become more frequent and have lasted longer. He spends all day in bed sleeping deeply and takes very little fluids or nourishment. i am feeling burned out!
