Close Parkinson's Disease
For the last 5 years the Dr. thought I had Essential Tremor. And in the last several months he mentioned that I might have Parkinson's. This means that my treatment should change, but it hasn't yet.
Treatments
- Botulin Toxin Somewhat Helpful
- This treatment was for Essential Tremor. I don't know if it helps at all for Parkinson's. The stiffness continues in my left side, the tremors continue.
- Inderal Somewhat Helpful
- Not sure if these medications work or not, but my blood pressure is down!
Close Essential Tremor
My original diagnosis was Essential Tremor, and sometimes called Parkinson's Disease. I've had it for about 6 years now. I am taking Propranolol, Aggrenox, and Citalopram (for depression) I get 8-15 Botox shots in my neck every 3 months. Things are getting worse. But I can't give up. I am the caretaker of my husband of 39 years who has Alzheimer's Disease among other things.
