A Thanksgiving Poem Mood
Tuesday, November 25, 2008

I wrote this poem for Thanksgiving last year, but I think it's still appropriate:

Today We Count Our Blessings

Today we count our blessings,

Guess what?  We have a few!

Friends and loved ones near and far,

Things we like to do.

Lovers, children, pets galore,

And amazingly, it’s true,

Our hearts can always hold one more,

As hearts are meant to do.

So let’s say thanks and think of this:

When we’re sad or left in doubt,

No matter how bad things seem to be,

We have blessings left to count.

Very well said. We do have many blessings to count not only during this holiday season, but all throughout the year as well.

    Thanks for sharing!
