Such a relief... Mood
Thursday, October 30, 2008 | A General Update story

My brain MRI came back as normal as can be.  Whew!  I am so relieved.  I didn't even realize that I was that worried about it.  Silly me.  Now, I just have to get through my EEG on Monday, and if the results of that are normal as well, then most likely I don't have a seizure disorder at all.  My neuro thinks that it's probably migraine related, but he wants to try to rule out seizures.  I have to say that the idea of a seizure disorder just terrifies me.  I don't like the idea that my brain can suddenly "misfire" for no apparent reason, or even if there is a reason.

I know that migraines are a symptom of a neurological disease, too, but that feels more manageable to me.  I've been living with migraines for years, after all.  It's the unknown that's the scariest, isn't it?
