I'm semi retired, husband is a commercial insurance broker. We travel in our RV. We have 1 son in the military. Watching my Mom w/alzheimer's has shown me that we should use our RV more and see everything we can. I also have Lupus, and trying to keep up on the many forms of this illness drives me crazy!

Hi! I have chronic iritis in both eyes and now that vascular migraine that really messed with my eyes. I see my opthalmologist every month or so. What kind of eye issues do you have? It's scary when your eyes are involved isn't it?
You are so welcome. We helped my parents relocate at the end of April to WA state to be near the rest of the family. They are getting high care at an adult family home. Unfortunately, they aren't doing well physically. I think it was God's way of protecting me from complete overload and to give them time with my sibblings. Take care- Don't feel guilty! I have to remind myself the same thing. Michelle
I'm so sorry about your mom. You are such a good daughter. Hang in there! Thanks for writing to me about your hair problems too - glad it is not just me. I'm with you on the prednisone, it's a love/hate relationship!
My mom is going through something very similar. It is almost like a death. I am losing my mom. Hope things stabalize. Michelle
Thank you so much, Laurensmom. I really like the people here. They are good friends and care alot about others. That is really nice. Connie
My Mom was diagnosed 1 yr ago. She was still driving @ that time. Thank goodness we live in a small town! She lived with us, but after awhile I couldn't take care of her the way I felt she needed. She is now in a nursing home locally. It about killed me to do this, but she is getting good care.
Three years I started getting tired easily, depression was setting in, and I ached all over....THEN, I went for a hair cut, and was told I had a number of bald spots on the top of my head....what a shock! Then I started having sore and bleeding gums...My personal physician sent me to a specialist for arthritis, then my dentist sent me to a specialist who took a bioposy...long story short it took a year to diagnose lupus. The doctor who finally put all the pieces together was my dermatologist.
