I'm getting passed my depression and it's easier to manage now. Just want to help out anyone else dealing with depression as well.

Treatments

Music Somewhat Helpful

Music often changes my mood, depending on what I'm listening to. It also activates my imagination and brings me to my own world inside my head. (Please don't pick on me for this, lol.) Bottom line: it helps.

Pets Somewhat Helpful

Somehow, all of my pets sense it when I'm sad and they just come to me. They always help to cheer me up when I can't do it myself. They're like miracle workers. ^_^

Positive Thinking Working / Worked

Positive thinking...the first thing I've tried and it's worked a WHOLE lot for me. It's not always successful but it's kept me from being too down a bunch of times before.

Support from Friends & Family Somewhat Helpful

My parents don't really help me all that much. They just kind of...put it aside, I guess is the best way to put it. My sister also tries to help me but she gets angry if I'm not happy when she wants me to be. She does try though and I'm thankful. My friends, on here, have helped me a lot too. I sometimes take the for granted though, and I feel bad. I thank them for helping me as much as they have. I'll return the favor someday also.

Talking Somewhat Helpful

This has helped when I talk to my sister, my pets (weird, I know), or my friends on here. Even talking to myself has helped me out a bunch of times.

Writing Somewhat Helpful

Been writing journals on here and in real life. Both have helped me get through my depression. Both are still working even to this day.

Zoloft Not Working

Did not work at all. Think I have some kind of immunity to most meds such as this. I didn't notice any changes in my mood and neither did my parents.

I really don't have many ideas that I'd like to share but I just want to be kept in the loop as to what's going on with DS. As I said, I don't have many ideas BUT I may have some later on that could be beneficial to this site. Never said any of my ideas would be good though, lol.
