      I am happily married with a wonderful husband & a lovely adult family & grandchildren. My faith as a christian helps me get through each day. I have chronic lymphocytic leukaemia & peripheral neuropathy, which gives me much pain with walking, but this won`t stop me smiling because I love my Lord Jesus Christ. He helps me each day.

      I have chronic lympocytic leukaemia & chronic pain with peripheral neuropathy, which I am having difficulty coping with.

      Treatments

      Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
      side effects drowsiness,headaches & not feeling alert. feeling like a zombie! I am feeling awful at the moment. I have been on lyrica for 8 months.The pain over the last 2 weeks has recently increased.
      Meditation Somewhat Helpful
      Helps for short time.
      Neurontin Not Working
      I was put on neurontin but did not work. It made me very dizzy, lightheaded & balance problems. After being on this I came down with a severe case of disseminated herpes Zoster. {shingles} which ended me in hospital for 8 days.
      Tegretol Not Working
      I was put on tegretol first but it severely affected my memory. It caused damage to my liver. I came out with a rash developed sore throat. I was very unwell. Doctor had to take me off it.

    • Close Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)
      Type: B-cell

      Diagnosed June 2006 Before being diagnosed with Cll, Drs diagnosed peripheral neuropathy. I have been told the CLL is infiltrating my nervous system. The pain is terrible, it travels all around my body with electric shock pain, burning,aching & stinging. I am having trouble walking, my feet are painful & have difficulty sleeping. I have had all the tests. Recently I had disseminated herpes Zoster (Shingles )which ended me in hospital for 8 days, this has added to the existing pain.

      Treatments

      Tegretol Not Working
      Effected my memory caused nausea vomiting headaches dizziness high elevation of Liver enzymes.
      Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
      Headaches initally some dizziness experienced but has helped to take the edge off the pain. Recently dosage has been increased due to pain breaking through. Side effects have increased. I am fed up of everything at present!!!!!
