I had my 2nd hand surgery on Wed. I was able to fpend the night in the hospital. What a blessing that was! I dwfinately needed all the pain meds they were able to give me! On my 1st surgery they put a titanium joint replacemwnt in my thumb joint and screwed it in w/ 2 screws. It never did heal. It was always swelled ans hurt bad. Come to find out, the artificial joint slipped away from the screw. That is why it didn't heal! Thid time they took out all of the metal then cut out a piece of tendon fr om the inside of my arm just below my wrist and wrapped that tendon in my thumb joint.Of course I am still in a lot of pain but not as bad as the first one! With that, I have great hope that it works!!!
