Treatments
- Surgery Somewhat Helpful
- Back in Feb 2007,it helped a lot st first,but2 months later,the pain came back,worse than it was before I had the surgery.My periods were awful and excrutiating pain.
- Zoladex Not Working
- The side effects were too hard and I had drug interactions with this medication.
- Danazol Somewhat Helpful
- This helps with side effects, but the pain is still there, and as bad as it was before I had the surgery.

Treatments
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- This is the first treatment that I try when I first see signs that I have a migraine coming on...If I can catch it quick enough, this is the only treatment I will need to knock out the migraine...And then lay down in the dark and cool room for a while.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- I take this at night, more as a preventative medicine...Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I guess it depends on just how much sleep I wind up getting the night before...? If I'm not real rested, then I'm more prone to getting the migraine, and usually, it's more severe, and tends to "linger".
- Hydromorphone Somewhat Helpful
- This is the more powerful medication the doctor gave me for when I have a really bad migraine. I start with half a pill and give it a good hour or more to see what happens with the cold packcold washcloth cool dark room laying as flat and as still as I can be...It usually subsides about 23 hours after that...But during that time I can have nobody bother me talk to me look at me disturb me in any way. Also I cant eat or drink anything when Im down with a migraine it comes up
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I use this if I have a migraine that cant be controlled by the Imitrex along with a cold washcloth or icepack on my head or neck in the usual dark and cool room....Sometimes it works and sometimes I need something stronger to knock it out...It depends on what I have eaten that day or the day before and also whether or not I have caught the signs symptoms fast enough.
