What a sad thing for the economy and a great thing for us. Last year we struggled to get by on my SSD alone. Now Pink has hers and we are doing well again. We pay all the bills have some pleasure money left over every month. 

With so many people carrying bigger mortgages than they can afford, with so many raising small children who are afraid to lose their jobs and everything they have. How is that 2 people on Social Security can be better off than most. Not a few but most. My rent is solid, we are land shopping. The kids are all grown and doing okay one really well. We have insurance (Medicare) we have tons of food in out bigass fridge. We are where so many people now wish they were. 

My best friend used to call me up all the time, hey I won this poker tournament, I made this much money. Now he lost his job, is on a losing streak and he doesn't call. I told him not to tell me about how well he is doing. I am happy for him, but it is tough on us. Now he should do as well as we are. 

Damn, the meek do inherit the Earth.
