Close Infertility
My hubby and I have been married for 6 yrs. I have PCOS and hubby has sperm issues. We just did our first round of IVF with ICSI, and after being on that horrible roller coaster ride I miscarried at 7weeks.
Treatments
- Basal Thermometer Somewhat Helpful
- Did this for about a yr, showed nothing but a luteal phase defect.
- Folic Acid Too Soon to Tell
- Follistim Working / Worked
- Used Gonal F and had 23 eggs retrieved, 18 mature and fertilized.
- hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Working / Worked
- It did its job!
- In Vitro Fertilization Working / Worked
- 1st cycle of IVF worked but miscarried at about 7 weeks.
- Lupron Working / Worked
- Making me feel really tired all the time, but other than that its not so bad.
- Metformin Not Working
- This didn't help at all and made me SICK SICK SICK!!
- Progesterone Too Soon to Tell
- Crinone gel
- Repronex Working / Worked
- Did its job, but burned. I used ice before and after injection and that seemed to help.
Close Bereavement
Type: Loss of a ParentLost my dear Dad almost 3 yrs ago, the worst day of my life. I know he is with me always, but I miss him terribly.

Open Hypothyroidism
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis in 2000. I have multiple nodules and have had biopsies.
Treatments
- Armour Thyroid Not Working
- Made me feel horrible, did not work well for me at all.
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- At 200 mcgs a day it is finally working. It took a long time to get to the right dose.
Open Miscarriage
Miscarried when I was 7 weeks pregnant.
Open Anemia
Type: Iron Deficiency AnemiaAnemic worsened significantly after In Vitro treatment and miscarriage.

- Weekly iron infusions
