About Me
I was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibro in 1995 and went on disability retirement after 26 years at a local University. I have since developed osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, and life time of migraines. I share this because I have found different ways to deal with all these challenges, and that's what they are, challenges. The diseases are not me, they are only part of my life experiences.

Without a friend to call my own what would my poor heart do? Without a friend to cheer me up I'd remain so sad and blue. Without a friend to make me smile a frown would rule my face. - Best after several others.No major side effects.

- Best for leg and back pain.

- Great! Reduced pain and fatigue. No side effects.
- TENS Working / Worked
- In Physical therapy several years ago for other problems. Also new laser stimulator is great.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- Only works for moderate pain. No side effects.
Close Lupus

I'm a single mother of 2 sons, both adults now, and a beautiful 13 yr. old grand daughter. I practice Mind, Body, and Spirit healing and most recently an organic food program and acupuncture.
Treatments
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- Been on it for years and it seems to be keeping the Lupus in check.
- Celebrex Working / Worked
- I take it when the Dr. can give me samples.The best thing I noticed was taking it at bedtime helped me sleep better and awake with less pain.
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- Was on it for over eight years but started having periferal vision problems. Ophthalmologist wanted me off it so I stopped it.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Yes, it works the best, but I hate it and the side effects on higer doses. I've been on 4 mg./da for a year but recently had a major flare after an infection and had to increase to 10/mg. da. My biggist problem is in lowering the doses. I if don't space the decrease just right, I go into a fibro flare.
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- Use it at night to help muscle relaxation.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- For most severe pain mainly headaches. Dry mouth and constipation. Can cause rebound headaches.
- Imitrex Working / Worked
- Works for most migraines but when I have what I call a Lupus headache combined with migrain and sinus I add vicodin.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Works well after trying many others.Depression comes from so many disorders its like which comes first the chicken or the egg.
Open Diabetes Type 2
In 1995 was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibro and went on Prendisone + other meds.Three years ago BS went higher and stayed higher and was diagnosed with Type II. I have gone up and down using diet and some exercise and keeping it under conrol without meds.I've been sick since March with flu, bronchitis, Kidney/bladder infection and a Lupus and Fibro flare. My biggist problem has been denial about the diabetes as it was one more illness to add to my expanding list. I'm trying to get back on track.

- Working with food allergies and refined sugar high carb intolerance.
