Journal Entry for August 10, 2008 Mood
Sunday, August 10, 2008 | A General Update story
Right Time to begin a journal! Here I am 48 and have been struggling with illnesses for years! I began my decline of health probably after my first misscarriage in 1983. I was then diagnosed with endometriosis and told I would never have children! Rubbish I had three sadly one My daughter died at the age of 10 months but my sons are now 24 and 17. so all edometriosis sufferers dont give up. For years and years I have suffered aches and pains migraines bowel problems and altogether have had at least 13 operations. Hysterectomy in aprox 1994 (left with one ovarie) The final ovary was taken out in aprox 2002 when it become a mass of twisted adhesions clued to my bowels and that whole structure clued to my pelvis. Hmmm well that out of the way we move on to more recent activites of my wonderfully healthy body. About 4 years ago starting with problems of the knees hips feet feeling wiped out and sleep problems. Having met a sister I had not seen for 25 years ( because i was adopted) and having had no medical history from my family. I was to find out that she had Lupus. Investigations were set about to find out if I had this disease. Many symptoms fit but never any positive results. recently I have had a shimer test of my eyes and finaly YES! a positive relsult, putting a lot of my symptoms into perspective! Yes the dry throat, gritty eyes painful feet itchy feet exhaustion and painful joints. Yes maybe at last I have found out why I always feel like I have been run over by a truck in the morning, drink too much water at night and spend endless trips to the bathroom. The answer could be because of a brilliant Swedish eye doctor called sjøgren! Ps excuse all and any spelling mistakes work with two languages and often get confused and that in addition with the sjøgren ( just one of my symptoms being "cloudy brain symptom") I don`t stand much chance!

Hadn't heard fr you for a while & was getting worried. Don't you ever give up. Life at times does seem like it's against us but you've got us here at DS & most importantly you've got the Lord & the power of your mind. I too had endometreosis & had a full hystorectmy by age 25. When I took seriously ill in spr 06 I was hospitalized for 2 months & because I've got Diabetes & Celiacs Disease & had a thyroid condition it was hard for them figure out what was going on, finally diagnosed Lupus. We'll take it one day and/or one moment at a time. At the end of every day you reminise on any good things of that day & throw the rest aside. We're always here for you to vent to.
