I was DXd with MS long after I had problems starting at age 13/14 but never went to Drs about any of the troubles. My family has alot of OA & RA so I just figured..... ?!?!?!? I also have Heart Disease. BUT I have THE BEST Caregiver..he is also my lover, best friend and husband. That helps alot.

Interests
I love to read and it will be sad if/when I lose my sight. But I will then get books on tape. I really enjoy our 4 grand-girls everytime we get to see them. They make me feel better !!

Great news on your Ty post. I send a message to yo, instead i=of replying in the thread...so others will know YOU mad a new post. Did you get thayt message on high cholestrol drugs post. I hoped you saw it and were able to reply with your experience.

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
: Seconday Progressive MSDXd in 1997 and that answered many 30 yr old questions. Using powerchair most of the time now.... SPMS is not fun but my husband, children & grand-girls make life sooooo much better!!!
Treatments
- Copaxone Not Working
- didnt work at all... actually had quite a few more lesions form during treatment
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I hardly take this anymore. I have much less pain then I used to have. I use this only when the pain gets bad.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- loving the therapy
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- does not work as well as it used to but still love it !
- Provigil Working / Worked
- helps with the fatigue and helps with the sleepiness I have from the pain meds
- Rebif Not Working
- side effects were just too much plus I had many flare-ups during the treatment
- Solumedrol Working / Worked
- Used to work wonders but now the body is used to it. Still helps some tho
- Swimming Working / Worked
- can no longer swim but it was good while it lasted
- Tysabri Working / Worked
- I have now had 21 infusions - Hope to stay on Tysabri for a long time
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- use this every night before bed so my legs dont jump as much and I can sleep a bit

Open Chronic Pain
I have a few things that cause chronic pain daily. I have MS, Celiac Disease plus had a heart attack in 2004 so we added Heart Disease to that list. Just had back surgery because we needed to remove the cyst growing on my spine where it is broken at L5 because of too many falls. The Neuro Surgeon also filed down some OA & cut off the 3 buldges near S1 ... Doing better each day.

- cannot do due to my MS... that disease does not like heat at all...
- Marijuana Working / Worked
- And have my MS Dr's signed paper for it now
- Morphine Not Working
- allergic to this stuff !!
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- every day!!
- Oxycodone Not Working
- allergic to any codines
- Physical Therapy Too Soon to Tell
- waiting to be released from Back Surgeon
