About Me
I'm a 30 year old female with 2 beautiful little girls. I was dx with Lupus in 2006, Fibro in 2007 and Chronic Pain Disorder in 2008. Needless to say I'm usually in a lot of pain. I am no longer able to work so even though I am married I feel very alone most of the time because my husband is always working or tired from working. I'm looking to meet people who can relate to what I'm going thru.

Close Lupus
I am a 28 year female with 2 daughters and a husband, I was dx with Lupus in Sept. of last year but I have been dealing with the symtoms for over a year now. I am really new to this so I am looking for advise and support from people who are going thru the same things that I am going thru because my family even though they are supportive they just do not understand.
Treatments
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I have been on pednisone since Sept.2006 and I have gained about 20 pounds...I hate it but it is the only thing that does make me feel better...so I love that.
- Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
- I could feel a little difference when I started taking it but I still have alot of bad days. And my bloodwork doesn't show that it is working at all.
- Cellcept Too Soon to Tell
- I was just given this and I hope that it works.
- Lodine Not Working
- I was on this for about 2 months and it never did start to make me feel any better...my primary doc put me on this before I was dx with SLE.
- Mobic Not Working
- I was put on this before I was dx with SLE but it did not make the pain go away.
- Daypro Not Working
- I was put on this before I was dx with SLE but it did not make the pain go away.
- Tramadol Working / Worked
- I was given this about 2 months ago for the pain and it does help but it makes me very sleepy so I can only take it at night.
Close Fibromyalgia
I was DX with Fibromyalgia just the other day and I am still trying to gain more insight to exactly what it is, of course my doctor explained it to me but now I need it in english please. I am a 28 year old female and I was DX with Lupus in Sept. 2006 it seems like life has been downhill from there. I am married with 2 little girls and I love my famliy but it has been really hard with all that is going on with me. They are really supportive but the can not relate to what is going on with me.
Treatments
- Cyclobenzaprine Somewhat Helpful
- It is working but it makes me really sleepy so by time I wake up I usually need another one.
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- I just started taking this...it is to soon to tell.
Open High Blood Pressure
I was DX with high blood pressure in Sept. 2006 around the same time that I was DX with Lupus. It seemed like no matter what they put me on it did not work. I am currently taking Avalide, the 4 med. that they tried and it seems to be working better than anything else.
Treatments
- Accupril Not Working
- Avalide Working / Worked
- So far this is the only one that has brought my pressure down.
- HCT Not Working
- Chlorthalidone Not Working
Open Raynaud's Disease
I was just dx with Raynaud's disease on May 7th. I have Lupus also and my doctor tells me that Raynaud's usually comes along with Lupus.
Treatments
- Prednisone Not Working
- So far prednisone is not helping with the burning and tingling and from keep my feet from turing purple.
Open Chronic Pain
I was dx with Lupus last year and just recently with Raynauds disease and Fibromyalgia. I am in constant pain. I am on a number of different pain relievers but nothing works for any length of time.
Treatments
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- It works for me but it makes me drowsy.
- Lyrica Too Soon to Tell
- Just started this one not sure how it works yet.
- Mobic Not Working
- This did not work at all for me.
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- It works for me but it makes me drowsy.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- It helps with the flare ups.
