About Me
I am a mother of a 2 year old girl who has been diagnosed with Trich. My daughter, "K", is adopted and has pulled her hair since she was about 8 months old. My profile picture is K on her 2nd Birthday! Her birth mom is mentally challenged, with an IQ of 40. Dr's feel that "K" started pulling her hair, as a result of being poorly fed and not held during her first 4 weeks of life. She has been with us since she was 4 weeks old. It took her about a year and a half to truly bond and want to be held. "K" is on track with her motor skills, speech and is very loving now. Any help would be appreciated! I am also a member of the RLS group for myself.

Hug
I too am adopted. Maybe there is a conection. I never really bonded with my adoptive mother due to her Narsistic ways. Very self absorbed. I have over come that, but still have a tendency to want to pull my hair. Just wanted to let ya know, you're baby is not a freak, for whatever reason, she needs to do it.

Close Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling)

Close Restless Legs Syndrome
I was exhausted and thought my depression was causing this. My Dr. sent ordered a Sleep Study and we found out that I had RLS. He has prescribed 2mg of Requip. Now that I know that I have this, the only symptoms that I recognize having are legs voluntarily moving. Any info would be great! Candace

- Dr. just prescribed 2mg nightly. I see where some people start out with a small dose and increase it. Any thoughts?My storyI was exhausted and thought my depression was causing this.
