About Me
I'm 73 years old, but wasn't diagnosed until age 64, so the majority of my life was spent thinking that I was just crazy. I couldn't come up with any other explanation for my bizarre behavior, and my terrible mood swings. When I had my worst manic episode ever, and had to be hospitalized, I was literally thrilled to learn that I was bipolar, and that there were medications to control it.

Hey you!I've been thinking about you..how have you been?
Me?I JUST this moment said a dearly felt goodbye to my Shane. He wants to have a family,so in my love for him,I've let him go..I may be hysterical any moment with grief
But all that aside,it's good to see you and hope you are well

Ray.....
I was just thinking about your partner.
I suspect that for some reason he my be inconsistent with his meds.
He may have never really accepted that he needed to take them for Life.
Studies of recurrent mania reveled that the BP person urns for the creative, europhoic, productive highs.. Only your partner can evaluate all the reasons for his needs to have these mood changes. Ultimately he will need to be honest with himself, in order to work toward stability. It is his responsibility.

I got the message, and you made some very interesting points about the mind being able to do so much more than we allow it to do,because of limitations our culture has put on it.Native cultures around the world ,have no problems with the Spiritual realm...and in fact,in 3rd world countries where Christianity has been introduced, and the peoples converted, they experience all the miracles discribed in the Bible...healings and even reports of people being raised from the dead...now THAT'S something!

Hello, and good morning. You asked if my mom was BP..most likely, she shows all the classic symtoms, and has for many years, even back to my childhood. But she would never seek treatment,I have written down some antiaxiety meds ,for her to take to her MD,to see if he can RX anything to releive her stress..anyway,today she and I are having lunch. It will be nice spending some time with her, without a housefull of people

Close Bipolar Disorder
My partner of 30 years and I are both bipolar, but even though we're both medicated, he has another serious manic episode about every two years. I know that no two people are alike, nor are their brains, but this is a mystery that we would like to solve. I suspect that stress is the trigger in his case, but I'm not a doctor, and even they can't come up with an explanation. If anyone is in a similar situation, I would like to hear about it.
