Hang in there Chrissy. I had a resection in January after a blockage. It takes quite a while to heal. Your body has been through a major to do. If they had to do a big incision it takes even longer. My incision is still tender. I am still having different tests to see why I still have a lot of pain. I hope you feel better soon! Diane

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I have Crohn's disease througout my small intestine which has caused scarring and narrowing.
Treatments
- Asacol Not Working
- It doesn't do anything. I take 3 pills 3 times a day.
- Dietary Modification Not Working
- I'm on a low residue diet.
- Methotrexate Too Soon to Tell
- I started 25 mg, intramuscular injection once a week about 9 weeks ago. No change. Side effects including shedding hair, sensitivity to light, headache, mouth irritation, etc.
- Probiotics Not Working
- I drink a Dannon probiotic drink each day.
Close Anxiety Disorders in Children
My daughter has episodes of severe anxiety and I'm trying to find out as much as I can to help her out. She's in counseling and has been in counseling before and each episode usually lasts a few months and is focused on something different. When she was three, she was anxious about anyone going near her bedroom; when she was five, she had school phobia and was afraid of having to go to the bathroom; and now that she's nine, she's afraid of throwing up.
