Add your supportWent to the surgeon today to follow up after fine needle aspiration. The results were benign which I am totally happy about. However, the surgeon feels that given my history with breast cancer, the enlarged lymphnode near my collarbone should be removed. I agree but hate general anesthesia. It makes me nauseous when you wake up.

Add your supportWell Wednesday I went for my needle aspiration for the supraclavicle area and was so nervous, I almost gave myself a stroke. The test was not bad but the waiting was the worst and since the pathologist did not have the microscope with her, I had to wait for the results. I told the surgeon right there when do you think my results will be back and he told me to come to his office on Monday which would mean 5 days later. I told him if he got the results sooner to please call me and he said he would. Well today is Friday and I could not take it anymore, I called his office and the receptionist said that she would give him the message but that he always does his callbacks at 6PM. That would mean I would have to wait all day. I told her look I cannot wait too much longer since I was so stressed out and would she please tell the doctor that for me to just call me with the results wheather good or bad.past month has been hell. Well finaly at 3PM he called and told me that the test looked fine but he still wants me to consider removing it. I am going to his office on Monday to see what other tests are needed. I kissed the ground and thanked God for helping me through this one. Whenever you research enlarged lymphnode in supraclavicle area on the internet, cancer pops up. Also the surgeon told me that it is not normal for it to be enlarged in that area so this is a rare find. Going to oncologist next week as well to get checkup and tumor markers done. Regards, Donna
