Journal Entry for November 17, 2006 Mood
Friday, November 17, 2006
My daughter was recently diagnosed with Obsessive/compulsive disorder. Her behavior is primarily targetted at her younger sister, whom she believes has GERMS. She can't touch anything that her sister has touched, or sit anywhere she's been sitting. She feels dirty, and is obsessed with people washing their hands. As I am recently divorced, I feel that this is a symptom of her struggle with her father leaving. She is seeing a psychotherapist. but what can I do? How do I react to her outbursts toward her younger sister? HELP
