i heard from well of grace this morning.  i had e-mailed them earlier in the week because i wasn't very observant.  upon a closer look at their website, i found out that they only take women up to age 24.  but i found that you AFTER i sent my application in to them.  but i heard from leslie today.  she works in the admissions office.  here's what she e-mailed back to me:

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner.  We did decide to review your application despite your age.  Your application will be reviewed by our intake team next week.  I will be getting in touch with you soon to ask some questions about your application before our intake team meets.  You've done a fantastic job getting all of your information to us!!  When is a good time to call you? Mornings or evenings?

so i e-mailed her back and let her know that the best time to reach me was in the evenings.

i also e-mailed dr. klim (my therapist, whom i haven't seen since january) and dr. alger (my ED doc, whom i haven't seen since february).  this is the e-mail i sent them:

 i just wanted to let both of you know that i've applied to five residential christian treatment programs.  over the coming weeks, i'll be faxing medical releases to you for medical and psych records.  i'll let you know where i end up.  as far as how i'm doing, that's not so good.  i'm binging and purging 30 or more times a day.  i'm not abusing any pills anymore, but the builimia is way out of my control.  if you want to know what programs i've applied to, just let me know and i'll send you the name and the internet link for the homepage.

Alison:  i received a release for Well of Grace in Michigan and sent them a treatment summary.  Will do the same with others I receive, unless I hear differently from you.  If you wish to come in for app'ts prior to entering a program, please contact me.

so i e-mailed her back and thanked her for sending the paperwork to well of grace.  i also told her that i'd take her up on her offer for an appointment/ appointments before i head away to residential. 

the ball is rolling...  but it's rolling SLOWLY...
