Mom has surprised me the past week or two. She is talkative and some of her responses even makes sense!

My daughter and her husband also visited her today when we were there, and she was so happy to see them. My daughter showed her granny her engagement and wedding rings, and granny responded with an appropriate: 'That is a smart ring!'

Just to send easter greetings to all of you!

We visited my son yesterday and I took a pic of the four spanial puppies. they are a week young!

A pastor visited our local church this morning and informed us about Mission Without Borders, where they assist with children homes in the Ukraine, Romania and Bosnia to mention a few. They were looking for people who want to sponsor kids in the Ukraine. For an amount that would provide us with about 16 loafs of bread per month, one can sponsor a child there and the money will be enough to care for them for one month!!

My hubby wanted us to sponsor a girl and I wanted to sponsor a boy, so we selected two kids. The girl is 11 and the boy is 8. We can write to them four times a year, send them cards and also a gift once a year. They will update us on their progress. If we have the money, we can go visit them once a year.

We have such a lot in comparison with those people who live in the aftermath of Chernobyl .....
